The Aspie Project is a rock opera about a form of autism . Namely Asperger's Syndrome or ASD .We all live in the same world , however, people with aspergers will experience the world differently . In my case , the world is much more complex and detailed. My filter that determines what is or is not important enough to see, hear , smell or feel is much less accurate/sensitive , so everything comes to me all at once. Its quite Handy if you 're looking for something you lost , but it takes quite a lot of energy to figure everything out.because All that input needs to be consciously filtered .And that does not always work out well . So sometimes i have to ignore all the incoming things except one , for example, by putting on headphones and close my eyes. listen to some Music or completely lose myself in a small, relatively useless activity.When that fails there is a risk of a ' Sensory Overload' . The world falls on you , the light goes out and creates a kind of panic reaction .That suck for me , but it is also very confusing for someone else trying to live with me because it 's hard to see it coming and the result is often unclear .All these feelings and more are exposed in this rock opera . This project is designed to give you an inside look in the head of a so-called Aspie and the people who have to live with such a person . Experience the problems and victories and lets hope to change the distorted Vision of people on people with an autistic disorder.
